About 15 years ago I worked at a company called Flowers After Hours. The employees sat in rows of little cubicles. Sometimes, when we were not busy, we got to chat with the people sitting next to us. One day I was talking with the gal to my right. She said, “I have a deaf sister and I heard there is a company called Deaf Video or DVC or something that loans Christian videos free to deaf people. I have been trying to find out how to contact them and I just can’t find them.” Flabbergasted and speechless, I just about fell out of my chair. Upon regaining my composure, I said, “I know how you can contact them, my husband and I founded DVC.” As a result of that conversation, we sent her sister a catalogue and soon she began to borrow videos from DVC on a regular basis. To me that is so much more than a coincidence; it is God intervening in our lives.

You might wonder has there been any continued fruit from this timely meeting. Yes, there has been. The deaf sister has borrowed 112 Christian videos from DVC since 1993 and she has grown tremendously in the Lord. Today I noticed there was another order from her to borrow more videos. Also, the hearing gal I worked with continues to be a good friend and she and her husband are supporters of this ministry. When God brings people together, amazing things happen.

If you’re reading this, that means that God has brought you and DVC together in some way. Some of you have been friends of ours for years and years. Others have only crossed paths with us for a short time, but have remained supporters of DVC ever since. To all of you we say “thank you” for your interest, prayers, trust and support of DVC and us. It is only because God brought us together that DVC has been able to accomplish so much, and that we can look forward to more amazing things in the future.
